From now on if an ECCE child wishes to leave one service and move to another, early years providers must log the changes on the PIP system.

When a child leaves, the original ECCE service must log in to PIP and edit the child’s registration by selecting the ‘leaver’ option. Then the provider can input the leave date to include the notice period. A new ‘Parental Declaration’ form can be printed for the parent to sign with the leave date on it.

The parent can be given a copy of this form to bring to the new service. The new service can then register the child on PIP as a new ECCE child registration from the leave date noted on the form.
