Educator

We are currently recruiting an Educator for our Afterschool service in Woodford, Co. Galway, caring for children from 4 years to 12 years of age

Requirements:

Minimum FETAC Level 5 in Childcare or equivalent as listed on the DCEDIY Early Years Recognised Qualification List or a letter from DCEDIY
Experience: minimum 1 year in the Childcare Sector (Work Placement/Practice unaccounted)
Comprehensive knowledge of Child Protection and/or willingness to become certified in “Children’s First” programme.
Excellent knowledge of the Aistear curriculum framework
First Aid certified
We are looking for someone who is passionate and a positive role model and supporting member within the sector to join our team.

Job description:

Implement a developmentally appropriate after school programmes for young children
Ensuring a high standard of care and guidance to all children in your care under the designed programme
Support, supervise and guide early year educators working within your team and work within the line management system.
Prioritising the health, safety and welfare of all children in the service
Promote and help maintain an organised, clean, safe, well equipped and culturally sensitive learning environment
Communicating with parents and members of the community
Inducting new staff members within the team
Maintaining program administration
Performing other related duties as required
Job Type: Part time, seasonal hours

Pay: Minimum €13.00- €16.25
